Miley Ray Cyrus' real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23rd 1992 in Franklin Tennessee, she was raised within Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. Her siblings include two half brothers, a half sister, and a younger sibling and brother. Parents named their daughter Miley in the hope to see her achieve a lot. Her childhood nickname, Smiley, due to her infectious personality later changed to Miley. Ron Cyrus was her grandfather. Cyrus attended Heritage Elementary School, Tennessee. Cyrus, along with her parents, relocated to Toronto Canada at the age of 8 when she turned 8. Her father Billy Ray played a character on the TV show Doc. Cyrus began her acting career during this period. Her father played her as Doc in Doc (2001). Then, in 2003 she starred in an unimportant role in Tim Burton's Big Fish. In 2005, Cyrus got the role of her character's lead on The Disney show Hannah Montana (2006), featuring a teenage girl living two lives as a pop star. The show's director was Cyrus' dad also appeared alongside the character. The show was a huge success and sold out tours, hit records and merchandise deals were also in the pipeline. Cyrus was a teen sensation. Cyrus shifted into new roles following the fame and popularity that came from Hannah Montana 2006. She was Ronnie Miller, alongside Demi Moody in The Last Song in 2010 as well as Lola with Demi in LOL in 2012.
